Rayen Early College Middle School’s fifth graders recently had the privilege of participating in the Home Alone Program, presented by Ms. Francine from Akron Children’s Hospital. This interactive session focused on essential safety skills for students when home alone, covering scenarios such as weather emergencies, fire safety, dealing with strangers, and food precautions.
The engaging presentation kept students actively involved, equipping them with valuable knowledge and practical tools to enhance their safety. Each student received a flashlight, batteries, a thermometer, a bandage holder, sunscreen, and a bag to store their supplies.
We are incredibly grateful for this partnership with Akron Children’s Hospital and look forward to their return in June to help kick off RECMS’s Safety Week.
