Dr. Maureen Donofrio is in her third year as principal at RECMS. She is proud to say that she is one of the four original teachers that has been at RECMS since the inception of the school! Prior to that she was the Assistant Principal at Harding Elementary. She has been in the Youngstown City Schools for 32 years, teaching at four other YCSD schools, as well. 

Dr. D. received her Doctorate degree at YSU in Educational Leadership, her Masters degree in Educational Leadership at Westminster College, and her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education at YSU. She is proud to say that she is a lifelong Youngstown Resident, and a lifelong member of St.Christine’s Church. She is also a crazy Disney fan and loves going to Disney with her husband and kids. Dr. Donofrio is extremely honored to be the Principal of RECMS, and so very thankful to share her days with such an amazing staff, and the best kids ever!

Mrs. Yank is in her third year as Assistant Principal at Rayen Early College Middle School. This is her 42nd year with the Youngstown City School District, having served as both a teacher and administrator in several of the District’s elementary buildings.

While growing up on Youngstown’s Southside, Mrs. Yank graduated from Woodrow Wilson HS, after attending Taft Elementary School and Adams Jr. HS. She received Master’s Degrees in both Educational Administration and Early Childhood Education from YSU prior to receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati. Mrs. Yank loves traveling the world, but is always happy to return home to Youngstown!

Mr. Schneider is in his second year as Dean of Students at Rayen Early College Middle School. Mr. Schneider was a school counselor at RECMS before taking his current post as Dean.
Mr. Schneider grew up in Sharon, Pennsylvania, and is a proud graduate of Sharon High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Bethany College, majoring in Physical Education, before receiving a Master’s in Education from Westminster College. Mr. Schneider has had a lifetime love for the sport of football and participated from the time he was a youth throughout his collegiate career. Mr. Schneider has continued to be a part of the game by coaching at the high school and collegiate level.
